Jette Pedersen was born in 1966 in Næstved/Denmark. After high school she went to
Neuchatel in Switzerland and studied French and English at the Canadian College. Then she lived in Lugano for a time, where she gained knowledge in the use of the Italian language. She returned to
Scandinavia and studied fashion design in Copenhagen at the "Academy of design and fashion – Margrethe Skolen". After the successful
completion she moved to Rome and worked freelance in the fashion industry. A year later, back in Copenhagen, she continued her activity and worked for companies such as San Antonio and Oya.
Above that she found employment in a fashion store at the Copenhagen Airport and later as head of the "Design Forum". Today Jette Pedersen lives in Nykøbing and works as an
expert in the construction and home improvement industry. Additionally she designs jewellery made from natural materials and illustrates children's books. The two books "The poor Poet and other
fantastic tales" as well as "Gertrude, the cloud and the missing wind" (published 2012) are joint ventures with the poet Peter Pitsch. Next project: "Gertrude and Wilmar on great journey".
