The author and music publisher Carola Kickers lives in Kempen in the Lower Rhine Region and is mainly active in the fields of mystery and dark fantasy, though even children's stories and the occasional thriller flow from her pen. Many of her short stories and books have been published by different publishers and as audio books. Especially regarding her vampire stories she maintains a form of "Black Romance".

Since 2010 she writes under the pseudonym Carol Grayson.
