The artist Ingelore Gierke was born 1958 in
Wattenscheid (now Bochum), she is married, mother of two daughters and grandmother of three grandchildren. Since 1980, she lives in
Eberswalde.
She grew up in Joachimsthal, a small town in the idyllic Schorfheide.
In her childhood she explored this wonderful environment and had a lasting
impact. So she learned to appreciate and love the beauty, diversity and gifts of
nature. As a result, she developed many
skills that always had some focus of her life. Painting, needlework and more filled out her free time.
For a long time her life was being ruled by her family and her working life as
a secretary. The passion for painting always stayed with her and was rekindled in
1996. The painter has created more than 70 works . With some pictures she successfully took part in exhibitions and developed her
own distinctive style.
2012 her older daughter and her partner wrote a children's book.
Ingelore took over the creative design of the book,
both the development of the characters, as well as the colourful illustrations. Erfleberf is not only a
trademarked character, but a unique children's book series.
