Monika Bär was born in Ebensfeld on February 21, 1947. In 1962 she started an apprenticeship as a medical assistant and recently celebrated her 50th anniversary. During her career she
gained experience working with an internist, later as employee in a large general practice followed by several years in the service of a urologist.
For nearly 23 years the author worked in the outpatient department of a dialysis centre. Due to a serious illness Monika Bär retired from working-life. But instead of spending her evening of life as
a pensioner, for the last ten years she remained up to date as a committed part-time employee. Because Monika, the jolly nurse, doesn't consider it "work", insteed she lives her vocation.
In a lovingly manner the practice-grandma was knighted by her proteges as the "Queen Mom".
