Joan Bendit, born and raised in the 1960s in Hamburg, developed from childhood on a versatile affection for music. This was acted out by playing the clarinet in the school orchestra as well as playing keyboard in a rock and dance band and the artistic attainment at various opera houses. This development was accompanied by a constant affinity for jazz and popular music and the music computer. Added to this was a weakness for the digital world with its infinite possibilities of computer programming and networking.
Joan reads detective stories, thriller, classical authors and comics. Throughout life, a strong interest in the technical and social developments and changes of modernity in combination with a pronounced fondness for French culture that is shown in the first own novel, Tunnel der Hoffnung.
Currently, Joan lives in France and Germany.
